I'm Sorry

John MayerJohn Mayer via last.fm

I know I haven't posted in a while but I have been reading I just havent been feeling these books they are good but I just can't make my self write. what makes it worse is that I have to switchover to flock to write because Blogger won't work in safari for me. That extra step is a lot because when inspiration hits me it only last for a min and once its gone its gone. As I'm typing this I realize that the problem is that no one is reading it. I would probably write more offten if I knew someone was reading it. I just don't know how to make people aware of it without spending money or spaming other sites.I want to do this like really bad but I guess I'm one of those people that need encouragement at all times. Maybe I will start a twitter account for the blog and hope that it brings in more readers. I might just revamp the blogg and make it about more things. If I had followers I could ask them this to see what they said but I don't so.

Charming the Prince ~ Teresa Medeiros

Lord Bannor the Bold has never feared anything in his life--until the war ends and he finds himself a reluctant papa to a dozen unruly children. He sends his steward out to find them a mother--some meek, plain creature who won't tempt him to get her with child. But his steward returns with a spirited beauty who makes him think of nothing else. Lady Willow is everything he has sworn to resist. He never dreams she will join forces with those mischievous imps of his to teach him just how sweet surrender can be!- from authors website

So when I first decided to read this book I thought for sure it was going to another Cinderella remake. I was glad to find out that it wasn't. I think this is one of my fave books and I can't wait to read more from Teresa.I found this book to be very refreshing in that the characters for me seemed very original. And whats even better this book is hilarious. The best part was the war between Bannor and the kids, the way he planned it you would think that he was going against the king himself. I liked that she included the kids in the story not just as an after thought. As the story goes on the characters grow and I started to feel for them. The only thing I could find wrong with this Book was that I feel like it wasn't finished maybe its just me not wanting the book to end. I felt like she felt had a certain amount she had to write couldn't write more so she rushed the ending. But other than that I recongment this to everyone

The Dark Queen ~ Susan Carrol

Cover of "The Dark Queen: A Novel"Cover of The Dark Queen: A Novel

From Brittany's misty shores to the decadent splendor of Paris's royal court, one woman must fulfill her destiny-while facing the treacherous designs of Catherine de Medici, the dark queen.

She is Ariane, the Lady of Faire Isle, one of the Cheney sisters, renowned for their mystical skills and for keeping the isle secure and prosperous. But this is a time when women of ability are deemed sorceresses, when Renaissance France is torn by ruthless political intrigues, and all are held in thrall to the sinister ambitions of Queen Catherine de Medici. Then a wounded stranger arrives on Faire Isle, bearing a secret the Dark Queen will do everything in her power to possess. The only person Ariane can turn to is the comte de Renard, a nobleman with fiery determination and a past as mysterious as his own unusual gifts.

Riveting, vibrant, and breathtaking, The Dark Queen follows Ariane and Renard as they risk everything to prevent the fulfillment of a dreadful prophecy-even if they must tempt fate and their own passions.- from Barnes & Noble

So I read this book because I was super bored. I thought the plot was slow starting off but as the story went on it got faster. Although the plot was good i found my self thinking about other things like rather or not I should paint my finger nails or not. If I have to force my self to pay attention to a book that is not a good thing. I find the characters to be I don't know how else to put it besides flat. To me they come off as one dimensional like I understand that you are the Lady of Faire Ilse but does that mean that you can't be in love. I found my self more interested in Gabrielle and Remy's story than I did in Justice and Ariane's. I didnt' feel the romance. I didnt connect with the characters at all. I feel that the author did really well on the historic portion of this story i found my self on Wikipedia trying to learn about Cathrine De Medici. Over all to me this is a mediocre book I liked I recommend it to people who enjoy a really well researched historical romance.

The next review will be Charming the Prince ~ Teresa Medeiros

So this is......

So this is my first blog I plan to review the book that I read. I am by no means a writer and I realize no-one will read this but its summer and all my friends have lives. I will try to review all the books I read they will probably not be the newest books out. If you are like me you are always trying to find out if a book is good or not. How can you tell by the blurb on the back that is specifically made to draw you in not tell if its a good book. So if anyone happens opon this I hope you enjoy.
